Track Lighting That Points Where You Need It

Track lighting solves a specific problem: rooms where you need multiple points of adjustable, directional light from a single ceiling location. Kitchens with an island but no room for pendants. Galleries and art walls where the light source needs to hit specific frames. Open-plan lofts where one ceiling box has to handle three zones. Home offices where light needs to point at the desk without glaring at the screen.

EcoLuxe Decor's collection covers linear tracks (2–8 feet), monorail (bendable to any curve), and flexible pendant/spot combinations. Track heads swivel 350° horizontally and tilt 90° vertically, so any head aims at any wall or surface in the room. LED-integrated heads eliminate bulb-change hassle and typically produce 500–1,200 lumens each at 2700K–4000K.

All systems ship free within the US, are UL-listed for dry locations, and come with a 2-year warranty.

How to Plan a Track Lighting Layout

Track length depends on what you're lighting. For a 6-foot kitchen island, run a 6-foot track parallel to the island. For a 10-foot gallery wall, run a 10-foot track parallel to the wall, mounted 24–36 inches out from the wall face so the heads angle down onto artwork without shadowing.

For head count, plan on one head per 2–3 feet of track for even ambient light, or one head per 18–24 inches for accent lighting on art or product displays. Angle art-wall spots at 30° from vertical to avoid glare on framed pieces. Aim kitchen-island spots straight down onto the counter surface.

Use 2700K–3000K for residential ambient use and 3000K–3500K for kitchen and workspace applications where color rendering matters more. Most tracks are dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer on the wall switch.

    Pro Tip
Pro tip: If you're replacing a single overhead fixture with a track system, use a track-to-junction-box adapter that turns any standard ceiling box into a track feed. You don't need a professional to reroute wiring — the adapter installs like any other flush-mount canopy.

    FAQ

    Frequently Asked Questions

How long should my track be for a kitchen island?
Match track length to the island length. A 6-foot island uses a 6-foot track, a 9-foot island uses an 8 or 9-foot track. Run it parallel to the island, centered over the working surface.
Can I add more heads to a track later?
Yes. Most single-circuit tracks accept up to 10 heads (limited by the circuit's amperage). You can add or move heads at any time without tools.
    Are the LED heads dimmable?
Yes. Integrated LED track heads in this collection are dimmable when paired with an LED-compatible wall dimmer switch.
What's the difference between linear and monorail track?
Linear track is straight rigid extrusion. Monorail track can be bent by hand to any curve, useful for curved rooms, staircases, or design accents.
Can I install track lighting where I currently have a single ceiling fixture?
Yes. Use a track junction-box adapter (included with most kits) - it converts a standard ceiling box into a track feed with no re-wiring needed.
How many lumens does each track head produce?
LED track heads in this collection produce 500-1,200 lumens each, depending on the head style. A 4-head track produces 2,000-4,800 lumens total - enough for a 200-400 square foot area.
