    LED Edison Bulbs That Look Like the 1908 Originals

    The classic Edison bulb — amber glow, visible tungsten filament, shaped-glass envelope — was the ambient light source of Craftsman bungalows, industrial factories, and Art Nouveau cafés. Modern LED technology now reproduces the exact look with 90% less energy and 25× the lifespan of the original incandescent version.

    EcoLuxe Decor's Edison bulb collection covers every shape you need: ST58 and ST64 tubular envelopes for cage pendants and industrial fixtures, G40 and G80 globes for string lights and vanity fixtures, T30 tubular for wall-mount sconces, and the original A19 pear shape for lamp-base and general-purpose fixtures. All use spiral or curved tungsten-effect LED filaments at 2200K warm white — the same color temperature as the incandescent originals.

    Every bulb is dimmable with LED-compatible dimmers, rated for 25,000+ hours, and available in 4W (40W-equivalent) or 6W (60W-equivalent) versions. Ships free within the US.

    How to Choose the Right Edison Bulb Shape

    Match the bulb shape to the fixture. In a cage pendant or chandelier where the bulb is visible, use an ST58 or ST64 tubular shape — the elongated envelope is the classic industrial look. In a barn-style dome or cone pendant where only the bottom of the bulb shows, an A19 pear or G40 globe works well.

    For string lights and vanity strips, G40 or G80 globe shapes give even 360° light distribution. For wall-mount sconces where the bulb aims sideways, tubular T30 shapes concentrate more light forward.

    Wattage matters. A single visible Edison in a cage pendant works at 40W-equivalent (4W LED) — higher and the glare from the exposed bulb becomes uncomfortable. Bulbs hidden inside diffused shades can go up to 60W-equivalent for actual task light. All bulbs in this collection are dimmable, so err on the higher wattage and dim as needed.

    Pro tip: The filament pattern inside the bulb is what makes Edison bulbs look right. Choose bulbs with visible spiral, curved-line, or grid-pattern filaments — not solid milky centers or plain glowing chips. The filament is the design; hide it and you're just using a colored LED.
