After a full day of direct sunlight charging, the lights typically operate for 8-10 hours overnight, covering the entire dark period in most seasons.
Do I need to turn the lights on each night?
No. Once you switch the back toggle to ON, the built-in light sensor automatically turns each light on at dusk and off at dawn — completely hands-free.
Will the lights work in winter or cloudy weather?
Yes, but with reduced runtime on cloudy days. The solar panel still charges in overcast conditions, just more slowly. Clear snow from the panels during winter to maintain performance.
How many step lights do I need for my staircase?
For safe, even lighting we recommend one light per step on narrow stairs, or one every 2-3 steps on wider staircases. The 4, 8, and 12 unit packs cover most residential setups.
