Under-cabinet lighting is the single upgrade that makes the biggest visible difference to a kitchen. It kills the shadow that overhead ceiling lights always cast on the counter directly below cabinets, turns the counter into a clearly-lit prep surface, and highlights backsplash tile or quartz veining at night when overhead lights are off.
EcoLuxe Decor's collection covers every install approach. LED strip lights bond directly to the bottom of the cabinet with adhesive and hardwire into the switch loop. LED puck lights install with screws or magnets and give focused pools of light. Battery and rechargeable motion-activated bars need zero wiring — stick them on and they run 3–6 months per charge. All use dimmable warm-white LEDs (2700K–3000K) or tunable-white LEDs that switch between warm and cool color temperatures.

How much LED strip do I need for my kitchen cabinets?
Measure the underside length of each cabinet section, add the runs, then add 10% for connectors and corners. Most standard 10-foot kitchens use 12-16 linear feet of LED strip total.
Do the LED strips get hot?
No. LED strips run at 80-100 degrees F under load, safe to touch and safe to bond to any cabinet material. They generate a tiny fraction of the heat of incandescent or halogen puck lights.
Can I install under-cabinet lights myself?
Battery and plug-in strips install in under an hour with no tools beyond scissors and adhesive. Hardwired strips and pucks require basic wiring knowledge - or a licensed electrician for a permitted install.
Are LED strips dimmable?
Yes. All EcoLuxe Decor LED strips in this collection are dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer. Smart-controlled strips are dimmable from the app or voice assistant.
What color temperature is best for kitchen counters?
2700K-3000K warm white flatters food and skin tones and is the standard for residential kitchens. 4000K neutral white is closer to daylight and shows true colors of ingredients - a choice if you cook seriously.
How long does the adhesive on LED strips last?
3M VHB adhesive on our LED strips holds for 5+ years in normal kitchen conditions. Clean and dry the cabinet underside with alcohol before applying for maximum bond strength.
