What's the difference between dusk-to-dawn and motion-activated?
Dusk-to-dawn lanterns turn on automatically at sunset and off at sunrise using a photocell sensor. Motion-activated lanterns stay off until someone enters the sensor zone, then illuminate for 30 seconds to 15 minutes.
How high should I mount a porch lantern?
Mount the center of the fixture 66 inches above the porch or landing surface - roughly eye level for an average adult. Center it between the door frame and the porch column.
