Hang the bottom of each pendant 32-36 inches above the countertop surface. Adjust up to 40 inches if the pendant is very large or you have tall ceilings.
How many pendants do I need over my island?
Plan on one pendant per 2 to 2.5 feet of island length. A 6-foot island uses 2-3 pendants, a 9-foot island uses 3 pendants, and a 12-foot island uses 4-5.
Can I mix pendant sizes or finishes?
For a matched-row island installation, use identical pendants. Mixing works best when you have separate zones - one pendant style over an island and a different style over a breakfast nook.
Do these pendants work with sloped ceilings?
Most of our pendants include a sloped-ceiling adapter or use a swivel canopy that adjusts for angles up to 45 degrees. Check the product page for slope compatibility.
What bulbs should I use?
For dome pendants, use standard A19 LED bulbs in 2700K warm white. For cage or exposed-bulb pendants, use Edison-style filament LEDs in 2200K for that classic amber industrial glow.
Are these pendants dimmable?
Yes. All EcoLuxe Decor industrial pendants are compatible with dimmable LED bulbs when paired with an LED-compatible dimmer switch.
