Setup Type: Solar Hanging Lantern — No Wiring Required

Step 1: Unbox the lantern and locate the solar panel on the top of the unit. Remove any protective film covering the solar cell.

Step 2: Place the lantern in direct sunlight for 6-8 hours to fully charge the internal battery before first use.

Step 3: Attach the hanging chain to the hook on top of the lantern. Choose a hanging location that receives ample sunlight during the day — pergolas, tree branches, shepherd hooks, or porch overhangs.

Step 4: Ensure the power switch is in the ON position. The lantern will automatically light up at dusk and turn off at dawn.

Tip: For optimal charging, position the solar panel where it receives at least 4-6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Shaded locations will reduce illumination time.

Wipe the solar panel regularly with a damp cloth to remove dust, pollen, and debris that can reduce charging efficiency.

Clean the bamboo rattan body with a soft, dry brush to remove dirt and spider webs. Avoid soaking natural bamboo in water, as prolonged moisture can weaken the weave.

While IP65-rated, bring the lantern indoors during severe storms, heavy snow, or extreme freezing conditions to extend its lifespan.

The internal rechargeable battery may lose capacity after 1-2 years of daily use. Contact support for battery replacement guidance if illumination time significantly decreases.

Apply a thin coat of outdoor wood sealant to the bamboo annually if displayed in harsh sun or humid climates to prevent cracking and fading.

Does this solar rattan lantern need any wiring or electricity?

No. It is completely solar-powered with an integrated panel and rechargeable battery. Simply hang it in a sunny spot and it operates automatically — no wiring, no electricity costs.

How long does the solar lantern stay lit at night?

With a full day's charge (6-8 hours of direct sunlight), the lantern provides approximately 6-10 hours of illumination from dusk. Actual duration depends on sunlight exposure and season.

Is this boho lantern waterproof for outdoor use?

Yes. It carries an IP65 waterproof rating, making it resistant to rain and outdoor humidity. However, we recommend bringing it indoors during severe storms to protect the natural bamboo.

Does the solar lantern turn on and off automatically?

Yes. A built-in light sensor activates the LED at dusk and turns it off at dawn — completely hands-free operation.

Can I hang this lantern from a tree branch?

Absolutely. The included hook and chain make it easy to hang from tree branches, pergolas, shepherd hooks, gazebo beams, or porch ceilings. At only 324g, it's lightweight enough for most branches.

How do I maintain the bamboo rattan material?

Dust regularly with a soft brush, keep the solar panel clean, and optionally apply outdoor wood sealant annually for extended UV and moisture protection. Avoid prolonged soaking in water.
